Legacy Games shuts its store despite its "yours to keep forever" slogan
Purchases can no longer be re-downloaded after February 28, 2027.
Casual game store Legacy Games will close on December 31, 2026 and stop selling titles. Owners of physical games with download codes must redeem them before then. Until February 28, 2027 previous purchases can still be downloaded through the launcher, including free games claimed via Amazon Prime.
After that date, games already installed will keep working as long as they stay on the device, but cannot be downloaded again, and the library likely cannot be moved to a new machine. VGC contrasts this with the site's "yours to keep forever" slogan; the company says installed games will "stay yours".
