Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 reach Switch 2 on October 16 with high scores, RE3 aside
Native versions replace the cloud ones; the physical edition arrives January 29, 2027.

Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition launch digitally on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, with physical editions following on January 29, 2027, according to Nintenderos. Until now Capcom's modern Resident Evil games were on Switch only as cloud versions, which Nintendo Life calls controversial.
Early scores are very strong for RE2 (9.5 at Nintendo World Report and 9 at Nintendo Life, FingerGuns, TechRadar and SwitchUp) and RE4 (9 at Nintendo Life, Nintendo World Report and FingerGuns). RE3 trails: 8 at FingerGuns, 7.9 at SwitchUp and 6 at Nintendo Life, which calls it an impressive port of a subpar remake.
