Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, developed by Evil Empire (Rogue Prince of Persia) with Motion Twin and published by Konami, launches October 15. It is a 2D action-exploration game starring Rose Belmont, set 23 years after Castlevania III. According to Nintendo Life it is also coming to PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S, and on Switch 2 it plays with an improved frame rate.

Nintendo Life's round-up collects scores such as GameSpot's 10, Game Informer's 9.25, IGN's 8 and 7 from both Push Square and Siliconera. Critics broadly agree it is a solid metroidvania, though some find it stronger as a metroidvania than as a Castlevania, and cite uneven difficulty and performance problems, especially on Switch. 3DJuegos, for its part, expected a good game but not one of the genre's best.
