Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds faces backlash over its Season 2 pass
Digital Deluxe owners cite a promise of "all future paid DLC"; SEGA has not responded.

SEGA unveiled the second year of content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, with six paid expansions (Final Fantasy VII, Godzilla, Evangelion and more), free characters such as Bayonetta and Aigis and a base-game price cut. The Season 2 pass costs $29.99, and Digital Deluxe owners will have to buy it.
Part of the community points to a June 2025 post saying that edition included "all future paid downloadable content". According to Push Square, SEGA's defence would be that the accompanying roadmap image only covered Season 1; it reports no official statement. Comments are split between those who see misleading wording and those who say Season 2 was never guaranteed.
