Yuji Horii makes a game with AI "in about 30 minutes"
The Dragon Quest creator released "Interrogation Room Komiya" and called the technology "astonishing".
Yuji Horii, 72, creator of Dragon Quest, announced Interrogation Room Komiya on X on October 11: a text game where players pick prompts to make a suspect confess. According to VGC he made it with generative AI (the tool is not named) and says it took "about 30 minutes".
Horii says that with AI he can "just give instructions and create a decent game all by myself", comparing it to The Portopia Serial Murder Case, which he made alone decades ago. At G-Star 2025 he had already talked about using AI to make mystery games more interactive. VGC notes generative AI remains controversial in the industry.
