Triple-i Initiative: Machinarium 2, The Escapists 3 and everything else announced
Forty-five minutes of indie reveals with surprise sequels, dates and a Dave the Diver × Subnautica 2 crossover.

October's Triple-i Initiative showcase delivered two headline comebacks. Amanita Design announced Machinarium 2, a hand-drawn sequel to its 2009 adventure arriving 17 years later with two playable protagonists. Team17 revealed The Escapists 3, which moves the series into 3D and is coming to PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC.
There were dates too: Among Us Story: On Guard lands on February 17, 2027, Outward 2 enters early access on February 8, and Brotato gets its Primal Dread DLC on November 2. Dave the Diver will wrap up its DLC run in early 2027 with a Subnautica 2 crossover, The Talos Principle III showed its first gameplay, and Aftergods, Gods With Badges and Lazare's Sacrifice were unveiled.
