ReSkate is a fan project that lets players run Skate on their own servers, with custom maps and no connection to the official servers. According to PC Gamer and Kotaku, it has passed 350,000 downloads within days.
On October 9 Full Circle posted a message supporting community creativity but drawing the line at mods that bypass its systems to unlock paid cosmetics or use unauthorised assets. It says it is working on official tools to allow more creative freedom in a controlled way.
The studio has not said it will block ReSkate. Its creators told PC Gamer they would comply with a legal request from EA.
