A Sony patent describes an AI that detects and repairs software faults
It is only a published patent: it does not mean it will reach consoles.
Sony has published a patent for a remote AI agent that would monitor a device's state and, on an anomaly, generate code to fix it and apply it, sometimes without the user seeing any warning. Vandal, citing Insider Gaming, says it would focus on software faults.
Outlets agree on the risks: a model can be wrong, and a failed repair could leave the device unusable. TechSpot and others note the patent is not limited to PlayStation and that complex cases could be escalated to engineers. A patent shows what Sony filed, not what it will ship.
